Using AMI Data to Support Long-term Planning

During this presentation, Itron will present our new Long-Term Load Forecasting System (LFS) that leverages AMI data to improve long-term forecasts of hourly loads by detailed geographic and customer specificity. Itron's LFS combines statistical models of AMI data rollups with technology impact shapes to project how hourly loads will change with deep penetration of solar PV, storage, electric vehicle charging and time-of-use rates. These new capabilities are proving critical to maintaining load forecast accuracy amid the volatility caused by these new resources and technologies.

Using Analytics to Detect and Solve Water Consumption Issues

When utility customers turn on a faucet, the expectation is that water flows freely and maintains constant pressure. But, what happens when water consumption issues cause an entire customer population to have little-to-no water pressure? Attend this session to learn how one utility leveraged Itron Analytics Customer Service Representative to quickly identify that water demand was exceeding supply and solve the issue by working with large users to implement water restrictions. Attendees will also understand how residents were notified and how commissioners were provided with monthly and yearly usage reports to explain the root cause and how the utility reached a successful solution.
