We need presenters like you to lead our breakout sessions. In the spirit of collaboration, we are looking for presentations that will educate your peers and help others learn from your experiences. Together, we'll share valuable insights, examine new solutions and business models, and discover ways to make the most of our energy, water and city resources. With a variety of ways to participate, presenters can contribute in breakout presentations, forums, roundtables and panel discussions. Plus, speakers gain valuable networking opportunities and receive FREE registration for the entire event.

*One speaker per utility/organization will receive a complimentary registration. Sessions are restricted to three presenters each. All meals, breaks and special events are included in the price of registration beginning with the Sunday night Welcome Reception through the Wednesday night Closing Reception. Travel and accommodations not included.

Each submission will be reviewed by the Itron Inspire 2024 advisory board in March.

Speaker selection notifications will be sent via email in the April timeframe.


Frequently Asked Questions

What are the expectations?
We ask speakers to:
  • Meet all posted deadlines
  • Return required forms and paperwork
  • Submit biography & headshot
  • Submit presentation(s) on time
  • Show up prepared and ready to present!

Can I just submit an idea?
Yes! We encourage all levels of ideas. Please be sure that your topic relates to an Itron outcome, solution, or product.

Do I need a finalized presentation to submit?
No, we are looking for the best ideas to share with customers. There will be time between the selection process and the event (if selected) to finalize all presentations.

How long are breakout sessions?
You have 45 minutes to captivate your audience (including Q&A). Use it wisely.

Can other speakers present with me?
You are welcome to invite others to speak with you or suggest a panel presentation. When you submit your idea, you can add co-presenters or panelist names. Sessions are limited to three speakers total.

Can partners submit an abstract to speak?
Yes, absolutely! We invite both customers and partners to submit their stories. There are additional opportunities for partners to get involved with the conference. Please contact your Itron partner manager to let them know you submitted an abstract and request more information on sponsoring and exhibiting.

When and where is Itron Inspire this year?
Itron Inspire 2024 will be held in Palm Desert, CA from October 4-11. All breakout sessions will take place during the Knowledge Conference on Monday, October 7 and Tuesday, October 8.

If selected as a speaker, will travel and accommodations be covered by Itron?
No, you'll have to make it to Palm Desert on your own. We are delighted to offer selected speakers complimentary registration, which includes meals, snacks and networking events.

When will I be notified if selected?
We plan to notify all selected speakers by April 2024. Keep an eye out for a congratulatory email in your inbox!

How many sessions will I be able to experience at Itron Inspire?
We typically average around 100 sessions, and our conference continues to grow every year. We would love for you to be a part of Itron Inspire 2024.
