Igniting Innovation at Itron Inspire Africa 2023

The energy industry is evolving faster than ever before, driven by severe weather events, changing consumer expectations and an increased focus on sustainability. We recently gathered industry leaders at Itron Inspire Africa to ensure African utilities and cities can adapt to these changes and continue meeting the needs of their communities moving forward. Hosted in Kigali, Rwanda, this customer event focused on driving innovation, reimagining customer engagement and exploring the latest solutions that are helping our customers better manage their energy and water resources. 

The conference featured a wide variety of sessions and provided opportunities for partners and customers to connect, attend industry-led panels and learn more about current industry trends, opportunities and challenges facing the energy industry. Topics covered included networked solutions that enable tomorrow’s smart cities, modern water solutions for an industry in transition, low-voltage distribution grid management, the impact of distributed energy resources (DERs) like electric vehicles (EVs) on the grid and more. 

In addition to two days of valuable workshops and panels, the conference provided time for in-person interaction, conversations and collaboration. Itron is excited about the new connections that were built and the existing connections we strengthened with customers, partners, colleagues and industry leaders at Itron Inspire Africa 2023.
