Zpryme and Itron Announce the 2021 Power Pitch Competition Winners
Sentient Energy, Cleverciti, Bidgely and New Cosmos USA Recognized for Innovative Solutions for Smart Cities and Smart Energy Providers
LIBERTY LAKE, Wash. — September 28, 2021 — Itron, Inc. (NASDAQ: ITRI), which is innovating the way utilities and cities manage energy and water, in collaboration with Zpryme, an Austin-based energy and technology research company, announced that Sentient Energy, Cleverciti, Bidgely and New Cosmos USA are the winners of the Power Pitch competition. The competition promoted Itron technology partners who developed solutions for smart city and smart energy use-cases that leveraged Itron networks, meters or back-office services. During the competition, candidates pitched their solutions and received feedback from a panel of industry experts, raising their exposure to potential customers. The competition showcased Itron’s vibrant ecosystem and its creativity in delivering solutions that can help shape the future of energy, water and smart cities.
The winners were selected on Sept. 28, 2021, during the final Power Pitch sessions in front of a live virtual audience. Zpryme and Itron congratulate and are proud to recognize the winners in the four categories of the competition.
Sentient Energy for Grid Management & Distribution Automation:
Technology partners in this category presented innovations that take advantage of Itron’s intelligently connected network to enhance grid resilience and reliability, drive grid modernization, optimize grid monitoring and operations, simplify renewable integrations or accelerate critical event response time.
Cleverciti for Smart Cities:
Technology partners in this category presented innovations that take advantage of Itron’s network and/or smart city management platform to build resilient and sustainable infrastructure, smart transportation, public safety and security or digital services for citizens.
Bidgely for Distributed Intelligence:
Technology partners in this category presented innovations that take advantage of Itron smart meter data and the Distributed Intelligence platform to build solutions for enhanced grid operations, data analytics, consumer engagement or distributed energy resource management.
New Cosmos USA for Utility IoT:
Technology partners in this category presented innovations that take advantage of Itron’s network communications to enhance the services enabled on a utilities’ network such as gas pressure monitoring, methane detection, flood monitoring, water quality monitoring and other sensor-based solutions.
