A series of classes designed to build proficiency and experience using Itron’s OpenWay Collection Engine including using the OWCE User Interface, creating configurations in OpenWay, meter registration and management, firmware download and OWCE reports.

Additionally, you will be provided with an introduction to the Smart Grid with OpenWay, high level details on the OpenWay Secure Network Infrastructure and its security.

Module 01: CE01 Introduction to Smart Grid with OpenWay

This module provides an introduction to the key concepts and features that anyone using the OpenWay solution should understand.

Module 02: CE02 FAR joins Secured Network Infrastructure

This module introduces users to the process of the FAR joining the Secure Network Infrastructure.

Module 03: CE03 Meter Authentication and Registration

This module describes the process of a meter authenticating and registering with the OpenWay network with Cisco RF Mesh.

Module 04: CE04 OpenWay Hardware and Identifiers   

This module explains how to recognize the critical hardware of the OpenWay solution. This module includes locating and deciphering important identifiers of this hardware.

Module 06: CE06 Solution Component Overview

This module provides an overview of all components in the OpenWay solution. It includes all Itron provided, Cisco provided and third-party servers hardware. The training describes the components roles in securing, registering and monitoring the network and metering devices.

Module 07: CE07 Introduction to the OW Collection Engine User Interface  

This module is a brief introduction to the OpenWay Collection Engine user interface. Topics include login, using the On-line Help, and an overview of common tools, administration functions, reports, and the dashboard.
