Marina Donovan
Marina Donovan Vice President, Global Marketing and Public Affairs
Marina Donovan has more than 20 years of global technology marketing and public relations experience with a background in data security, networking and mobile. She joined Itron as vice president of global marketing & public affairs in January 2018. Prior to joining Itron, she was vice president of marketing for Silver Spring Networks, where Marina led all aspects of outbound marketing including branding and corporate positioning, demand creation, events, product marketing, public relations and web properties. Prior to joining Silver Spring, she held executive marketing positions at IronKey by Imation, Syniverse, VeriSign and RSA Security. Marina holds a Bachelor of Arts in public relations from San Jose State University.
Maitrayee Ganguly
Maitrayee Ganguly Vice President, Global Quality
Maitrayee Ganguly joined Itron in October 2018 as Itron’s vice president of global quality. Maitrayee brings a wealth of experience in quality management systems, methodologies and best practices over the full product lifecycle from product development through production and post sales. She has worked in a global capacity leading quality and performance excellence functions in the Semiconductor & Electronics Equipment, automotive, medical, industrial, consumer and telecommunications industries.

Recently, Maitrayee has served as Vice President of Quality and Reliability within Patriarch Partners, LLC, for over ten years. She managed all quality functions globally, established quality policies, compliance standards and product reliability roadmaps. Previously she has had senior management and quality leadership roles in ASML and Tata Group of Companies.

Maitrayee has a Master of Science degree in Quality Engineering and Applied Statistics from Rochester Institute of Technology and an MBA in corporate finance and strategy from the University of Connecticut.
Ben Huggins
Ben Huggins Senior Vice President, Customer and Market Experience
Ben Huggins has a wealth of global experience in sales and general management. He brings more than 20 years of diverse experience in the military, aerospace and industrial markets. He has served in leadership roles within the maintenance, manufacturing, supply chain, general management and sales functions.

Ben joined Itron as senior vice president of Customer and Market Experience (CME) in December 2020. In this role, Ben is responsible for leading Itron’s sales, marketing, channel management, business development, customer support and customer success activities across the full company portfolio.

Prior to joining Itron, Ben worked with Honeywell for 15 years, serving in a variety of leadership and sales roles, most recently as the global vice president of sales for the Process Solutions business unit. Prior to Honeywell, Ben was an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Ben holds a Master of Business Administration from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD.
Rafael
Rafael Marcano Senior Vice President, Global Supply Chain Operations
Rafael Marcano has more than 20 years of experience within manufacturing and supply chain operations where he developed and implemented global footprint and manufacturing strategies. Rafael joined Itron in July 2020 as senior vice president of global supply chain operations. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing global supply chain and order fulfillment operations. He leads the procurement, production and logistics of all hardware products as well as develops the supply chain strategies and plans in support of Itron’s global business.

Previously, Rafael worked as the vice president of operations for TE Connectivity, where he was responsible for global operations, supply chain, sourcing, quality and new product introduction. Prior to that, he oversaw operations and manufacturing for both LGE and Sargent Controls & Aerospace, Celestica Aerospace Technology Corporation and Motorola.

Rafael received a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Boston University.
Doug Richardson
Doug Richardson Vice President, Information Technology
As Itron’s vice president of information technology, Doug Richardson is responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient execution of the company’s information processing operation. Doug is focused on continuously enhancing the company’s information technology vision and architecture, in full alignment with Itron’s strategic vision. Previously, Doug was vice president of sales operations and customer supply, where he was responsible for establishing and leading Itron’s sales and operations planning process and system as part of a global supply chain transformation effort.

Prior to joining Itron, Doug held various leadership positions at Freescale Semiconductor (now NXP) focused on supply chain planning, business operations, global customer service and global sales operations. Doug also has experience in providing information technology services to the financial services and automotive industries.

Doug received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Texas State University.
Greg Richards
Greg Richards Senior Vice President, Technology and Research
Greg Richards, senior vice president of Technology and Research, is responsible for Itron’s technology and innovation strategy, including technology roadmaps, unified architectures, robust product security, rock-solid firmware and protocols for Itron’s complete product portfolio. With his nearly 30 years of experience in the technology industry, Greg is leading the development of innovative new solutions and services that will help cities around the world manage and use water and energy more resourcefully.

Previously, Greg served at Itron’s senior vice president of global product development where he helped bring high quality products to Itron’s customers faster and at a superior total cost of ownership. He also previously led Itron’s DevOps team.

Prior to joining Itron, Greg served as vice president of Americas Technology Services for Hewlett Packard. Greg joined Hewlett Packard in 2011 after holding leadership positions at Oracle/Sun, including managing director of Professional Services for the Asia Pacific region.
Raj Vaswani
Raj Vaswani Fellow and Strategic Advisor

Raj Vaswani is a fellow and strategic advisor at Itron where he leads the technology and standards organization, coordinating unified architectures across Itron's diverse solution portfolio.

Raj joined Itron in January 2018 via its acquisition of Silver Spring Networks, where he was co-founder and chief technology officer. Raj has 25 years of innovation, product development and product management experience in the Internet, software and networking industries.

Raj received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California at Berkeley and a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Washington.
