Itron is participating in and sponsoring the second edition of Connected Smart Cities 2016, one of the main events focused on smart cities in Brazil. Itron will contribute to the important discussion about the implementation of smart cities throughout the country and the series of innovations that enable it.
To drive the debate about the development of smart cities, Itron will join two discussion panels on June 9, bringing international expert Tim Wolf, Itron director of smart grids and smart cities, to talk about the implementation and viability of projects that improve the efficiency index in different urban services. Mariano Bergman, head of products and systems for Water in Latin America at Itron, will talk about the environmental and sustainability gains of the smart grid. The company will also have a booth to present its smart cities solutions.
The event will take place between June 8 and 9 at Porto Maravilha region in Rio de Janeiro, the city that lead last year’s ranking of Brazilian smart cities.
